I’ve been a regular fan of Cape Town Fish Market for quite some time. As a student I used to always marvel at the conveyor belt sushi bar whenever I walked past the CTFM in Menlyn Park. So, when I could gather up enough student cash to afford it, I went to try out my first taste of sushi..
..and the sushi hook reeled me in for life!!
This review covers the CTFM at the Southdowns Shopping Centre, on John Vorster Rd.
When we arrived, we couldn’t quite decide on a seat. At the first table the floor was uneven, causing the chairs to feel all wobbly. The next was comfortable, but too close to the door and the cold air. Eventually, a few tables later, we settled on one closest to a heater.
For dinner, I had the prawn curry, which was incReDiBLy spicy! Now, I do enjoy spicy food, but this was beyond “mild”.. Delicious overall, but HOT!! This is a great meal for winter though, and the cold temperature was long forgotten as I warmed up from the spicy food!
mmm.. o0o0o0ops.. Not much else I can remember!! I’ll have to start taking better notes.. which I WILL do!! Promise!! But you can be sure that I’ll return to Cape Town Fish Market, and I WILL take notes, so watch this space for an improved review!
